Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley

The Club is where kids and teens belong.

Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley provides after school and summer programs for youth in and around Santa Clarita Valley.  We now have 10 locations, including Canyon Country, Castaic, and Newhall.  Programs are safe and affordable year round.  The Club is committed to supporting academic success, providing a second home, and building leaders.  Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley is one of over 4,000 Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide.  Learn more about Boys & Girls Clubs across the country at www.bgca.org.   Membership begins at 7 years old, is just $60 a year, and provides you access to both of our full-service Clubhouses here in Santa Clarita where your child’s safety is our number one priority.  At the Club, your child will receive access to homework help, a healthy snack, and opportunities for youth sports, STEM programs, and fun games and activities.  The Club has been proving a fun safe place for kids after-school since 1968.  At our elementary school sites programs begin as young as Kindergarten.

Where your children can be themselves, dream big, and accomplish their aspirations.

Our goal is to meet your kids and teens where they are, providing a safe place to help them grow in the right direction, we focus on three key outcome areas: education, character-building and healthy lifestyles. The Club is a place for your kids to laugh. A place to learn. A place to grow. A place to belong. With all the distractions that exist today, there are many directions youth can go. Along with teachers, friends and family, we’re an ally who’s on their side, here to guide them toward a great future. Staffed by caring and trained professionals, Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley offers more than just a watchful eye, but a place where your kids can connect with mentors and grow outside the classroom.

When the school bell rings, we’re there for your kids:

Kids can get into trouble if they don’t have a safe place to go between the last school bell and dinner time. Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley is here to ease your mind by providing a safe, supervised place for them to drop in and feel at home.

Club Hours:

The Club’s regular hours are Monday thru Friday after-school.  Typical hours are 2pm-7pm (those critical hours when school is out and parents are still at work).  We extend our hours to 7am-7pm when your kids are on school breaks, like Spring, Summer, and Winter Breaks.  Call our Clubhouses directly to check on hours, as they do change, and we have several different school districts here in Santa Clarita.  Typically our Clubhouse in Newhall follows the Newhall School District calendar, our Sierra Vista Clubhouse in Canyon Country follows the Sulphur Springs School District calendar, and the Castaic Clubhouse follows the Castaic Middle School calendar.  Find our Clubhouse addresses and phone numbers here. Transportation from school to the Club is available from some schools as well.  Give us a call for questions about availability.

Building confidence, friendships, and career paths.

The Club strives to improve each child’s life by instilling self-esteem, courage, and positive values through all of our educational programs. Our youth come to The Club to receive homework assistance, a healthy snack, computer access, youth sports, mentoring, social recreation, arts & crafts and so much more. Our members gain confidence by developing a sense of usefulness, competence and belonging.  Not only will your kids have fun afterschool but they will also get their homework done and have opportunities to learn and grow beyond the classroom.  In the summer we provide breakfast and lunch too!

When you’re a Club member, you’re never alone.

Our Mission

To inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

After School Programs that work!

Character & Leadership Development

Helping youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquiring skills for participating in the democratic process is the main thrust of these programs. They also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage.

Education & Career Development

Our goal is to support and enhance the efforts of teachers and counselors to ensure academic achievement and instill a desire for life long learning.

Health & Life Skills

These programs develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults. In addition to specialized programs, informal counseling sessions occur as needed and referrals are made in circumstances when specialized counseling is needed.

Sports, Fitness & Recreation

These programs seek to develop fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment and social skills.

The Arts

The arts programs enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing.
